I love the tactile and visual appeal of a well-designed piece of print: be it a magazine, a book, or even industrial design like the origami of cardboard boxes with wraparound print.
I've worked with print since my days at Hewlett-Packard in Denmark.. Started out with Ventura Publisher, then moved on to PageMaker, then Quark XPress and now InDesign. While I do not have a degree in anything artsy, I've taken the time to study and train in colors, design and typography along the way. From 400 page books to flyers and posters trial and error has taught me how to handle most everything from metallic ink spot colors to pre-press for multi-language editions.

These are so much fun to put together -- it just always takes waay longer than it should. And it's always astounding just how many cartridges of color ink are needed to crank out a few hundred of these. |

 Another collaboration with my then partner-in-crime, Peter Heydenreich, illustrator extraordinaire; this CD single was put out by a couple of Danish stand-up comedians as a follow-up to their smash hit with a TV show. We produced both a commercially available version of the disk as well as promo edition (on the right) that was sent to radio stations etc.
As I recall, the song reached some pretty astronomical sales figures for little ol' Denmark... |
