That Web Thing
Three for the World

tftw_800.jpgEver since the project was announced, architect Eli Atta (Millenium Hilton) and his wife Noa have fought for a better design for the 9/11 memorial and replacement for the World Trade Center on the tip of Manhattan. Eli has designed an alternative himself, and has argued vehemently for why Liebeskind's design sucks. I took on the challenge of putting together a site that largely was a vehicle for Eli's design and his case against Liebeskind. It is straight HTML with extensive use of CSS and DHTML for the user interface.

Panasonic
panasonic2_280w.jpgIn late 1999 I was working as a freelance designer and coder with the advertising agency Renegade Marketing Group in New York. One of the big accounts was Panasonic's online presence. I was involved in the production of several sections of the site (working with my good friend and graphic genius Enrique Sallent), and it was quite the learning experience to deal with such a massive amount of content.

Women's Commission for Refugee Women and Children

wcrwc_800.jpgThe WCRWC is a prominent advocacy group based in New York City; they rely extensively on their website to disseminate resources and information on pressing issues regarding immigration, human rights, and the needs of the most vulnerable populations in crisis situations around the world. Originally designed by Enrique Sallent, the site has undergone several overhauls since I first got involved with the Commission in 2004. Temporarily built as shtml, it is now largely a PHP affair with a database-driven resource database.
